The six levels of the cognitive ladder in Bloom's Taxonomy, from lower level to higher level, are (1) knowledge, (2) compre- hension, (3) application, (4) analysis, (5) synthesis, and (6) evalua- tion (Fig. 1).

As we move up the cognitive ladder in Bloom's classification, it may become more difficult to specify the degree or the extent by which educational objectives need to be met.
This is more likely to happen when objectives are written for the lower levels of the cognitive ladder.
